Clicks Celebrates Milestone with the Opening of its 900th Store at Barlow Park, Sandton

| Store Openings

Clicks, South Africa’s leading health, beauty and wellness retailer, is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its 900th store at Barlow Park in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Operating in South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Eswatini, Clicks’ current store footprint includes 716 pharmacies and 204 clinics.

Barlow Park, a nodal development featuring retail, residential, and a high school in its first phase, sets the stage for Clicks' strategic expansion and ongoing commitment to offering customers great value, convenience and differentiation.

Vikash Singh, Clicks Managing Executive, expressed excitement about the choice of Barlow Park for this milestone store. "Barlow Park was selected as a prime location as it allows us to be situated as close to our customers and patients as possible, which forms part of our customer-centric approach."

The new 707m² Clicks store at Barlow Park aims to provide a comprehensive customer experience with a Clicks Pharmacy offering expert advice and affordable products and healthcare services and the same wide range of health, beauty, baby, and homeware products that have become synonymous with Clicks stores nationwide.

The newly opened store is equipped with energy-efficient lighting and is connected to the Centre’s generator, ensuring seamless operations even during periods of load-shedding.

Clicks’ ultimate aim is for the majority of households in South Africa to be situated within close proximity of a Clicks store, with each store tailored to the needs of the community it serves.

"Not only does our expanded footprint mean that 50% of South Africa’s population live within 5.3km of a Clicks pharmacy and therefore able to access affordable healthcare, but our growing number of stores and extensive supplier network also create new job opportunities, which has a positive impact on the local economy,” Singh says.

The iconic Clicks ClubCard loyalty programme, which now has over 10.5 million active members, is growing in leaps and bounds and has put over R650m back into the pockets of consumers during the past year.
