SPAR Signature Selection Pressed & Squeezed Fruit Juice wins in Product of the Year Award

The SPAR Group has been honoured at the Product of the Year South Africa (POYSA) gala event, with its SPAR Signature Selection Pressed & Squeezed Fruit Juice coming out on top in the annual Kantar survey of over 2000 respondents.

POYSA recognises and celebrates the country's most innovative products. To be eligible for selection, products must have national distribution and demonstrate significant consumer innovation in one of the following areas: function, design, packaging, and ingredients. The competition has been running for 15 years in South Africa and forms part of a global network of 40 national programmes.

The award-winning SPAR Signature Selection Pressed & Squeezed Fruit Juice range is made from single-strength fruit juice and purée and undergoes minimal heat processing to retain the natural flavour and nutritional value of fresh fruit. Unlike most long-life fruit juices, SPAR’s pressed and squeezed juice is not made from fruit concentrate that requires reconstitution.

There are no added sugars, preservatives or colourants and the packaging has been specially designed to preserve the product inside.

“We are thrilled to have received this award, which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to delivering tangible value and quality to our customers,” said Judith Gale, National Head of Marketing of SPAR Private Labels.

“A heartfelt thank you to our valued suppliers who have journeyed with us and to our customers for continuing to choose SPAR products,” Gale concluded.
