The China Homelife and Machinex Trade Fair - the largest exhibition of Chinese producers in South Africa - is just one of the ways the two nations have been partnering. The fair will take place at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand from 24 to 26 September 2024. Running from 10:00 to 17:00 each day, the fair will showcase a range of high-quality Chinese products, from machinery, textiles, home appliances and building materials right through to new energy, household goods, beauty and consumer electronics.

Now in its eighth year, the China Homelife Trade Fair connects trade and business between China and South Africa. This eagerly anticipated event is a premier platform for qualified, leading Chinese exhibitors seeking to do business in Africa and professional local buyers in Africa seeking to import or do business with China. As the largest China sourcing event in Africa, it has welcomed visitors not only from South Africa but also from Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi.

In addition to Johannesburg, China Homelife takes place annually in 12 other cities worldwide.

Nearly 10,000 innovative, high-quality products will be featured at this year’s China Homelife South Africa fair, promising to have something of interest for everyone there.  With nearly 500 exhibiting booths in one place, it provides an unparalleled opportunity for sourcing Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), a business that creates parts or goods for other businesses to use in their products and Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) products from Chinese regions.

Saki Mabhele, China Homelife South Africa’s Event Project Director, says this event is an excellent choice for importers, traders and buyers to source top-quality items directly from manufacturers at competitive prices. “It brings together significant players from major industries and enables visitors to view a large number of products to evaluate, compare, see demonstrations and ask detailed questions,” adds Mabhele. “China Homelife provides a platform for Chinese manufacturers to unveil new products, giving everyone in attendance the chance to know the latest market offerings and launches.”

Whether you are an importer or looking to import, this world-class expo is an ideal way to network and discover the most suitable and cost-effective products from suppliers. It also provides the opportunity to acquire new business ideas and learn about the importing process from China, while also being an effective platform to understand your industry's competitive landscape.
