Serco delivered and Claude Moodley of CR Logistics is now more than happy with the result.

“We decided we needed a new lightweight tautliner and looked at a variety of options available in the market.

“Serco’s product stood out from the rest with a competitive price, payload of more than 36 tons and ahead of others in terms of quality,” said Moodley.

CR Logistics, situated in Chatsworth, is capable of transporting a variety of goods and equipment including steel and aluminium products, construction machinery and military vehicles.

Tautliner trailers have the capacity to accommodate a wide range of cargo from palletised goods to furniture, vehicles and machinery.

The Serco vehicle has a 6,2m front link deck and a 12,2m rear deck.

Standout features include:

  • A lightweight chassis and structure to help improve payload
  • 900 gms digitally printed curtains
  • Double rear doors for dock loading
  • Unique side structure with multiple load securing points

“With their national after sales support it is very likely we will do more business with Serco in future,” said Moodley
