Taking place at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa, Firexpo is co-located with Securex South Africa, A-OSH EXPO, Facilities Management Expo, and RE+ South Africa. This integrated platform creates a powerful environment where fire safety connects directly with broader security, safety, facilities and energy strategies.

As Mark Anderson, Portfolio Director at Montgomery Group Africa, explains, “Fire risk is no longer viewed in isolation. It forms part of a wider conversation around compliance, infrastructure resilience, and business sustainability. Firexpo reflects this shift by bringing together the technologies and expertise needed to manage risk more effectively.”

A fire protection exhibition aligned with modern risk environments

Fire safety requirements are becoming more complex across South Africa. Stricter regulations, developing building standards, and increasing insurance pressure are driving organisations to adopt more integrated approaches to fire risk management.

Visitors attending Firexpo can explore solutions across:

  • Fire detection, alarm and monitoring systems.
  • Fire suppression technologies and equipment.
  • Emergency response and evacuation systems.
  • Passive fire protection and building compliance.
  • Fire risk assessment and management services.

Positioned within a broader safety and security trade show environment, Firexpo enables visitors to evaluate fire protection solutions alongside security, facilities and energy systems, supporting more informed and coordinated decision-making.

What to expect at Firexpo 2026

Visitors to the Firexpo 2026 exhibition can expect more than static displays. The event offers a practical, experience-driven environment where visitors can explore fire protection solutions in a real-world context.

Co-located shows

Firexpo forms part of a five-show platform, connecting fire safety with security, occupational health and safety, facilities management, and energy resilience at Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

Live demonstrations and features

The show floor features hands-on engagement and live demonstrations, including:

  • Fire detection and suppression system showcases.
  • Live product demonstrations across multiple solution categories.
  • Drone and security technology demonstrations relevant to fire response and monitoring.
  • A free-to-attend seminar theatre covering compliance, risk, and best practice.

Three theme days enhancing the visitor experience

  • Day 1 — New products and innovation in action: Explore the latest fire protection technologies and system advancements.
  • Day 2 — Installer appreciation day: Focused on installers and integrators responsible for implementing fire safety systems.
  • Day 3 — Women in safety and security: Highlighting leadership, development, and participation across the broader protection industry.

Fire protection within an integrated environment

Firexpo’s co-location with Africa’s most comprehensive security exhibition, Africa’s largest occupational health and safety event, a renowned facilities management expo, and a newly launched renewable energy expo provides a unique advantage.

Visitors can assess how fire protection systems integrate with:

  • Building management and infrastructure systems.
  • Security and access control technologies.
  • Occupational health and safety protocols.
  • Energy systems, including backup power and renewable installations.

This integrated perspective supports organisations in developing holistic risk management strategies rather than isolated solutions.

Exhibitor showcase: fire protection solutions for modern risk environments

A wide range of solutions on display showcases how exhibitors address fire safety, compliance, and risk management challenges across multiple sectors. The focus remains on integration, efficiency, and practical application, giving visitors clear insight into the real value available across the show floor.

Supporting compliance and reducing risk exposure

“Fire safety remains a critical component of regulatory compliance in South Africa. Firexpo provides access to the tools, technologies, and expertise needed to meet developing requirements and reduce exposure to risk,” says Anderson.

Visitors can engage directly with suppliers and specialists to:

  • Understand current fire safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Evaluate systems that improve early detection and response.
  • Identify solutions that reduce damage, downtime, and liability.

Be where fire protection decisions are made

Firexpo 2026 is more than a fire protection exhibition in South Africa. It is a platform where fire safety forms part of a broader conversation around resilience, compliance and operational continuity.

As Anderson concludes, “Firexpo brings together the expertise and innovation needed to manage fire risk in today’s complex environments.
