Boxer Superstores expands support for victim friendly facilities across South Africa

| Social Responsibility

Boxer Superstores continues to strengthen its commitment to safer communities through ongoing support for Victim Friendly Facilities (VFFs) at SAPS stations across South Africa.

These facilities provide survivors of gender-based violence and other vulnerable individuals with safe, private, and dignified spaces where they can receive care and assistance during moments of crisis.

In KwaZulu-Natal, Boxer supported the revamp of VFF’s at SAPS Umsunduzi in KwaXimba and SAPS Hillcrest, helping transform these spaces into warmer, more welcoming environments designed to offer comfort, calm, and reassurance. Boxer also provided toiletries to the VFF at SAPS Madadeni, ensuring survivors have access to essential care items when they need them most.

In Limpopo, Boxer contributed to the revamp of the VFF at SAPS Bochum (Senwabarwana) and, in Mpumalanga provided support to SAPS Schormandaal, donating portable air conditioners, a microwave, toiletries, and children’s toys to help create a more supportive and functional VFF.

In the Western Cape, Boxer supported the Mitchells Plain SAPS VFF with donations of children’s toys and toiletries, helping ensure that women and children arriving at the facility are met with care and compassion.

“Victim Friendly Facilities play a critical role in ensuring survivors are treated with dignity, empathy, and respect,” said Ntombi Dludla, Boxer Group Executive for Stakeholder Engagement and Sustainability. “Boxer is proud to support the SAPS and community partners across multiple provinces in creating spaces that provide comfort, care, and hope when it is needed most. Going into 2026 we plan on continuing our efforts to assist Victim Friendly Facilities across South Africa, and look forward to helping our police in their effort to protect and serve those who are the most vulnerable within our communities. ”

Through these initiatives, Boxer reaffirms its role as a committed community partner, working alongside SAPS to strengthen local support systems and protect vulnerable members of society across South Africa.
