Woolworths expands stand-alone WCellar liquor stores

| Store Openings

Woolworths has expanded its premium liquor offering to six new WCellar store locations.

These new WCellar stores offer customers an elevated shopping experience, with a curated range of wine, spirits, and beer at Jean Crossing Shopping Mall, Glenvista Shopping Centre, Village View Shopping Centre in Bedfordview, Shopping Mall, and the highly anticipated launch of WCellar Macrovest Centre in Wilkoppies and Market Square Shopping Centre in Plettenberg Bay.

The expansion of WCellar demonstrates Woolworths’ commitment to making exceptional quality products more accessible to more customers within an elevated, uncluttered liquor store environment. WCellar’s premium stores redefine liquor shopping, offering customers exclusive creations, leading collaborations and an expertly curated selection of drinks, perfect for every occasion.

To enhance the experience at all Tier 1 locations, offer in-house expertise through WCellar consultants, who are available to guide customers and provide personalised recommendations.

In addition, shoppers can enjoy complimentary wine tastings, creating an opportunity to discover and sample new wines. Tastings are held on Thursdays and Fridays from 4 pm to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 11 am to 2 pm.

For those who prefer convenience, Woolworths Dash (available in selected areas) makes it easy to have drinks delivered same day, while shopping online gives you the added benefit of a 10% discount on wine by the case (Gauteng and Western Cape).

“WCellar is designed to provide an elevated shopping experience that meets the needs of our customers,” says Ian Wilson, Category Manager for WCellar. “With these new locations, we’re excited to bring our curated selection and exceptional service to more customers.”
