A new Pick n Pay franchise has officially opened its doors at the Verge Shopping Centre in Edenvale, with a successful launch on 10 April 2025. Conveniently located on the corner of Johannesburg’s Linksfield off ramp with clear visibility from the N3 highway, the store is positioned to become a landmark shopping destination.
Owners Dimitri and Taki Elia, who previously ran Pick n Pay stores in Elspark, Lambton, and Hazel Park, have shifted their focus to creating a unique flagship store. Their mission: “To serve and uplift the Edenvale community with a worldclass shopping destination.”
A modern centre with community at its heart As the anchor tenant of the Verge Shopping Centre, Pick n Pay sets the tone for an upmarket environment featuring safe parking, landscaped walkways, and popular restaurants such as Olive and Plates, Turn and Tender, and Mugg & Bean.Step inside and shoppers are welcomed by an airy, open layout. The aroma of woodfired sourdough pizza fills the space, while chefs perform pizza acrobatics that delight customers. The flow leads naturally through the fruit and vegetable section into a bustling Hot Meals Ready (HMR) department, which includes a specialty Greek Souvla and Yiro counter already proving a hit with the community.
