TotalEnergies launches Friday fuel cashback rewards to help motorists save

| Supplier news

With transport costs continuing to place pressure on household budgets, South Africans are increasingly looking for ways to reduce everyday expenses. As a result, loyalty programmes that reward routine spending are becoming an attractive option for consumers seeking extra value from purchases they already have to make, including fuel.

Although the latest fuel price cut has eased some financial strain, filling up remains a significant monthly cost for many motorists.

To help customers stretch their budgets further, TotalEnergies has introduced a new Friday cashback promotion for Club members. Under the offer, members who purchase fuel at participating TotalEnergies service stations on Fridays will receive 45 cents cashback for every litre of fuel bought.

Mduduzi Sikhakhane, SFS Retail Marketing Manager at TotalEnergies, said the initiative has been designed to provide a straightforward and accessible way for Club members to benefit from their regular fuel purchases.

"With many South Africans continuing to feel the impact of rising living costs, we want to provide meaningful support where we can," said Sikhakhane. "Whether customers are driving to work, taking children to school, travelling on holiday or simply managing their daily routines, this campaign rewards them for an essential expense."

He added that motorists who consistently fill up at TotalEnergies can increase the value they receive over time, as regular participation allows cashback savings to accumulate through weekly fuel purchases.

Sikhakhane noted that consumers are becoming increasingly deliberate about how they spend their money, particularly on unavoidable costs such as fuel.

"We want to help our members get more value from purchases they already make. By making Friday refuelling part of their routine, customers can gradually build worthwhile savings over time," he said.

Membership of the TotalEnergies Club is free, allowing customers to access a range of ongoing promotions and rewards programmes.

Sikhakhane encouraged motorists to make use of the Friday cashback offer, saying that scheduling fuel purchases for Fridays can help maximise savings and deliver greater value over the long term, adding that every rand saved can make a meaningful difference.
