Facilities Management Expo provides end-to-end FM solutions

Facilities Management Expo 2024, which will take place at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, from 11 to 13 June 2024, continues to plot an upwards trajectory for the provision of southern Africa’s largest collection of facilities management products and services.

Undisputably the premier platform for providing the industry with answers and functionality for their challenges, Facilities Management Expo’s co-location with award-winning Securex South Africa, A-OSH EXPO, and Firexpo creates further benefits for industry professionals looking for diverse solutions across security, FM, health and safety, and fire safety.

“Now in its fourth edition, Facilities Management Expo has grown exponentially in popularity with both exhibitors and the market. Situating multiple FM solutions under one roof is highly beneficial for time-pressed market professionals who are actively seeking products and services to maximise employee productivity and wellbeing. These solutions help to ensure that facilities run smoothly, with integration of multiple services — including security, fire, OSH, and environmental control — being the key,” says Mark Anderson, Portfolio Director at Specialised Exhibitions — a division of Montgomery Group.

In market research conducted by the South African Facilities Management Association (SAFMA) in 2020[1], it was stated that 74 different facilities management services are offered, classified into 16 operational areas. With this volume of services, the impact the facilities management industry has on maintaining the value of properties, and to secure a healthy and professional working environment to employees and employers alike, cannot be underestimated.

The report further stated that: “The IFM (integrated facilities management) service providers have a stronghold on building installations and maintenance, and on project management, and to some extent cleaning, purification, and security. Through these services, a host of other services are provided to clients. On the other hand, facilities contractors are strongly positioned in real estate (mainly landlords), travel, fire protection, and regulatory or compliance services. Real estate, especially, is where both service provider groups contest for opportunities.”
