Calling All Toy Connoisseurs: Game and Makro Seek 250 Young Experts to Rate Top Toys for 2024

| News

Game and Makro are thrilled to announce the return of the beloved 'Top Rated by Kids' event, bringing together young toy enthusiasts to vote for the country’s top toys for 2024.

Once again, a group of 250 testers between the age of 6 and 12, will have the exclusive opportunity to rate, test, and play with never-before-seen toys, to shape the coveted Game and Makro Top 10 toys list, which be unveiled at an exciting awards ceremony, coinciding with the release of the official Game and Makro Festive Toy Guide. This year, the event will take place at Makro’s Cornubia store in Kwa-Zulu Natal (KZN), on Saturday, 22 June, 2024.  Parents can secure a spot for their little experts by registering online for the Makro Top Rated by Kids experience 2024 at Makro Cornubia here: https://www.makro.co.za/topratedbykids

"We're enlisting the help of the real toy experts – kids themselves – to help us decide what our Top Toys will be from a selection of the coolest, not-yet-released toys for the year. While for the kids this is a fun day, for us it's invaluable insights that help us to provide an offering that is in line with what our customers want," says Massmart’s Vice President of Group Marketing, Katherine Madley.

Toy reviewers Ryan Black and Ruva Zwane shared their favourite toys from the 2023 toys as the Avalanche Gel Shot Blue Blaster and Hasbro’s Twister Air of which the former toy was the number 1 rated toy for 2023. Their advice to the next group of kids who will be rating this year’s toys is to play safe, have fun and enjoy the awesome toys.

If your child is passionate about discovering new toys and has a talent for playtesting don't miss out on this chance to turn their dream into reality! Spaces are limited, so act fast! Registration is open now and closes on May 31st, 2024. Let your little expert’s voice be heard at Game and Makro’s Top Rated by Kids experience.
