The event comprises of 3 trade exhibitions namely: Africa’s Big 7, SAITEX and Hotel & Hospitality Show. The event services 5 sectors namely: food & beverage, hospitality, retail and trade and will feature a digital exhibition, matchmaking, live workshops and so much more.
dmg Events takes note of the current climate in South Africa, particularly the unfortunate events that gripped parts of Gauteng and KwaZulu Natal. Our hearts go out to all people and businesses affected by these events and we wish all a speedy recovery and return to normal operations.
At dmg events our mission is to provide credible platforms for business connections, contributing towards the health of the sectors in which we operate and delivering value to our stakeholders in a safe environment. Under the circumstances we feel it is impossible to deliver on this mission through in-person events, and therefore it requires us to postpone the in-person element of our show to 19 – 21 June 2022.
However, we still understand that, now more than ever, businesses need a platform to connect and engage with new customers and suppliers. The economy will be opening up further as we move into 2022, and despite everything else, business never sleeps. We will therefore be pivoting all Africa Trade Week activity to our digital platform, allowing for connection and engagement with customers and sellers alike, access to our excellent content and the chance for the sector to come together to further business opportunities.
A DIGITAL-ONLY EVENT
“Africa Trade Week recognizes that business must continue, even when travel has been made difficult due to the pandemic” says Evan Schiff, Portfolio Director: Food, Trade , Hospitality at dmg Events. “We have therefore built a digital offering that will allow virtual attendees access to the best of learning, connection and engagement at Africa’s longest running trade event. We will continue delivering the same value you’ve come to expect from us over the last 27 years, the seamless online offering enhances your experience, and extends the ability to meet new buyers, source new products and access the latest learnings on the sector.”
WHAT IS DIGITAL?

This year we are excited to host digital events ensuring you have access to the latest products, solutions and information to keep your business resilient and sustainable during challenging times.
