Checkers Hyper opens its doors at Mall of Africa

| Store Openings

A new, state-of-the-art Checkers Hyper store opened its doors earlier this week in the new Mall of Africa, South Africa’s largest retail development, in Midrand.

The store is set to become the country’s premiere Checkers Hyper, improving the consumer experience through the introduction of new in-store services, as well as greater convenience.

As one of the anchor tenants at the mall, Checkers Hyper Mall of Africa will create over 290 jobs for locals.

The store boasts a sit-down café where customers can enjoy foreign ground coffee or a freshly made smoothie. New to Checkers Hyper Mall of Africa is the pizza bar and hamburger bar where customers can build their own burgers. Customers can also enjoy pancakes from the pancake counter, along with fresh sushi anytime of the day.

In addition to catering for all food and household requirements, customers can also save time by using the extensive services available at the in-store Money Market counter. These include making money transfers to any Shoprite and Checkers store across South Africa, settling municipal or service account payments, buying national lottery tickets, as well as bus, airline and Computicket event tickets. The store also has a Medi-Rite Pharmacy.
