East Rand Retail welcomes Checkers as an anchor tenant

| Store Openings

Consumers are in for a fresh shopping experience come Thursday, 23 June 2016, when a brand new Checkers store opens at the East Rand Retail Park. The new store will create over 150 job opportunities for the Boksburg community.

Customers can look forward to all the great in-store services that Checkers is famous for, including its impressive Cheese world; the best South African and international wines at cellar prices; its range of Foreign Ground Coffee; an excellent butchery and deli; as well as a great selection of fresh fruit and vegetables.   As expected, great opening specials and in-store giveaways will be on offer.

The new store will bring the added convenience of the Money Market Counter, at which customers can make easy and affordable money transfers to any Shoprite and Checkers store across South Africa; settle municipal or service account payments; buy national lottery tickets, bus, airline and Computicket event tickets; and more.

Rene Blankers, Portfolio Manager of the Bentel Group says: “We are very excited that Checkers will be forming part of the dynamic tenant mix at the centre, they will most certainly add value by offering consumers more options”.

In the current challenging economic times Checkers East Rand Retail Park will also be offering consumers the opportunity to save even more and get instant shopping discounts with EeziCoupons. Simply visit the Checkers website to find out how you can start saving. Alternatively consumers can download the Checkers app or get the USSD code by dialling *120*885#.

Branch manager, Leon Gerber and his team look forward to unveiling the store and bringing consumers a convenient shopping experience.
