Shoprite has created a staggering 230 new jobs in the local community with the opening of its Cloverdene store. It is the retailer’s 7th store in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni on the East Rand in Gauteng, meaning that even more consumers will now be able to benefit from Shoprite’s business promise of everyday low prices.

To celebrate Shoprite Cloverdene’s grand opening, a DJ entertained the crowds while customers were treated to great opening specials and numerous in-store competitions. One lucky winner even walked away with a brand new washing machine, microwave and fridge! 

A R5 000 donation (in the form of Shoprite shopping vouchers) was also handed over to local non-governmental organisation Citadel of Grace as part of Shoprite Cloverdene’s community upliftment promise.
