| Store Openings

South Africa’s stationery, art & craft materials and educational books store is opening it’s twenty first store in Cape Town, and its eightieth store nationwide. The new Haasendal store is set to officially open its doors on the 28th March 2019 with a range of products on offer.

In addition, the store will be hosting an exclusive teachers-only promotion on 29th March, where local educators are invited to visit the store to receive a special discount coupon – only valid on the day! The school boasting the most coupons redeemed will receive a jam-packed hamper full of goodies.

The new store, headed by franchise owner, Les Turner, who has been part of the PNA franchisee structure since 1997 after opening his first store, PNA Savannah in Polokwane, and his second in 2005, PNA Cape Gate, located in Brackenfell. Says Turner, “I have always viewed PNA as a company by South Africans for South Africans.  So, it was a natural progression to once again join hands with the organisation, when the opportunity presented itself. This our third store, and I feel sure we will enjoy the support of Haasendalers from day one.”

The new store, located in the Haasendal Village Square, has been seven months in the making from site identification to final shopfitting, with plenty of behind the scenes planning and collaboration between PNA head office team and Les.

According to PNA’s Operations Manager, Gerhard Schoeman, “Planning the opening of a new store is always preceded by the processes of conducting feasibility studies, finding the best location and ensuring the highest standards of shopfitting are met.  By the time we open for the first day’s trading, it’s always a proud moment.” he says.

“PNA is delighted that we are opening yet another store in the Mother City.  We believe in supporting and partnering with our franchisees to empower them to contribute meaningfully to the economy, that directly translates to job creation in local communities.  In these tough times, we are very proud of our expansion plans for 2019 and wish Les everything of the best,” concludes Herman Botha, PNA Group General Manager,
