Massmart opened two new Builders Express stores last week, one near Mall of The North in Polokwane and the other, in Vergelegen, Western Cape.

The Group first announced its intention to expand the footprint of its high returning assets, which include Builders stores, in 2021.  Commenting on the expansion, Jonathan Molapo, Massmart CEO said, “Following a thorough white space analysis, we identified a number of attractive locations for new Builders stores that we intend to open before the end of 2025. To date, this year, we have opened three new Builders stores, with another to follow before the end of the year.”

Builders Express offers customers in urban areas a curated range of over 10 000 products which include building materials, stylish home décor and flat pack furniture, and additional services such as paint mixing facilities, assembly of furniture and pool water testing.
