Makro and Unilever are saving you money on your favourite products.

| Marketing and Promotions

With petrol prices set to soar, now’s the moment to make your money go the extra mile.

Makro has partnered with Unilever to help South Africans get their favourite products for the best possible prices, until the end of September. Additionally, Makro, South Africa’s one-stop-shop for affordability and convenience, is running a competition to make one lucky winner an mRewards millionaire.

Kevin Maier, Makro Merchandise Vice President: Food, says, “We’re committed to helping our customers make their money stretch further in these tough financial times. Partnering with Unilever enables us to offer our shoppers their favourite products at affordable price points.  We’re also running a massive competition to make one of our lucky customers an mRewards millionaire. Simply swipe your Makro card for a participating product to stand the chance to win R1 000 000 in mRewards.”

Maier said Makro was proud to come out tops as South Africa’s cheapest destination for groceries earlier this year. “We’ll continue to offer great deals to entrench our position as the nation’s number one value-for-money destination. As a customer-obsessed business, we care about making our shoppers’ lives better. Collaborating with Unilever will empower us to keep offering our customers their most-loved products at affordable prices, which should make a material difference to people’s daily lives. We’re always looking for ways to help South Africans to save.”

He adds that a wide range of products – in-store and online – will be discounted, creating a quality shopping experience for customers to enjoy.

The mRewards competition will run from 28 August to 1 October. Customers simply need to sign up for mRewards and swipe their Makro card for any participating product to enter.  Maier concludes, “mRewards is our way to give back to our customers. Download the mCard app to earn mRewards to help you maximise your savings and make your money work harder for you.”
