Pick n Pay Asap!’s modern spin on Willy-Wonka’s “Golden Ticket”, valued over R2m

| Marketing and Promotions

22 customers, over 22 days, will find an “asap! Easter bunny” in their order – claiming R100,000 each

Pick n Pay asap! has launched a magical Easter surprise for its customers, inspired by the legendary Willy Wonka's "Golden Ticket" adventure. Twenty-two lucky customers across South Africa will claim R100,000 when they find the "asap! bunny" in their order.

Beginning 11 March 2024 and running through 1 April 2024, the asap! bunny will make its way into 22 asap! delivery bags, one per day, spanning all provinces of the country. All orders qualify. There is no special entry mechanism, minimum spend, or products to buy.

With each discovery, customers will not only be in possession of a delightful keepsake but also receive a life-changing R100,000 deposit into their bank accounts.

Crafted with love and creativity, each asap! bunny has a unique story of its own. These charming crochet bunnies are handmade by Ella&Jo, a proudly South African baby and children’s clothing brand founded by a young entrepreneur with a passion for sewing in 2016. All fabrics used by the brand are handpicked locally in Cape Town, and every stitch of knitting and crocheting is done by hand with love by a team of ladies - one of whom is 90 years old.

"Getting groceries delivered within an hour is already a fantastic convenience for many South Africans. But adding an R100,000 token makes it truly life-changing. Our crochet asap! bunnies promise excitement and wonder, bringing the joy of discovery to our customers' doorsteps. With each lucky find, we aim to bring a touch of magic and delight to 22 fortunate recipients, turning the ordinary into something extraordinary,” says Vincent Viviers, Co-Head: Omnichannel at Pick n Pay.
